In collaboration with the Partnership for Success (P4S) Program, Elevate Youth will launch a Youth in Action Coalition of active Latinx immigrant youth members from South Border Region of San Diego County.
- Selected participants will participate in a Participatory Action Research and Youth Resident Leadership Academy. The activities will lead to a profound understanding of how their behavior and decision-making are influenced by external factors.
- Youth will be assigned track and mentor/mentee for a fully integrated experience.
- Participants’ parents will have the opportunity to attend workshops will stimulate their understanding of how their behavior and decision-making are influenced by external factors
- Youth will advocate for the improved health and wellbeing of all youth in Southern Border Region at the local, regional, and state level (including a trip to Sacramento)
- Recruitment starts January 2022; Latinx immigrant youth (age 12-26) are encouraged to apply regardless of status/documents.
